How it works:The employer arranges a block of time during which the massage therapist will be on-site and massages can be booked in 15-minute increments. The employer pays a flat fee for the block of time. Employees sign up for 15-minute sessions during the block. There is a fee for each 15-minute session that can either be paid by the receiving employee or by the employer.Studies have shown that 15 minutes of massage rejuvenates and invigorates the recipient. Massage increases blood flow to the brain, resulting in quicker, clearer thinking, improved multitasking and an overall relaxed body posture. Poor posture (i.e. slumping, constantly looking down or at a computer all day, etc.) creates tension in the neck and back, which can lead to injuries, time off work, pain and an inability to work effectively. While your employees will view an opportunity for massage at work as a wonderful perk, it will also increase morale, productivity, and show your employees you care about their health.
